Pathlight empowers customer-facing companies to accelerate their growth and achieve their performance metrics by providing managers and their teams with crucial performance data. In this small startup environment, being the 7th employee, my role extended beyond design. I also took on responsibilities in product management, user research, and marketing, which allowed me to contribute to our strategic company roadmap directly.

  • Role and Responsibilities

    As the solo lead designer during Pathlight’s transition from stealth mode to public launch, I collaborated with the co-founders on transforming the application into an all-encompassing management tool. My goal was to simplify managerial tasks, enabling managers to focus more on team interaction and coaching rather than software and task management. My contributions also included developing a new mobile app, launching several significant features, and creating a marketing website with a fresh visual identity.

  • Being Customer Centric

    Many roadmap features were informed by direct communication with our customers. Lacking extensive quantitative data, I relied on qualitative feedback collected through direct interactions with users, leveraging these insights to make informed design decisions. This approach not only challenged me but also encouraged our company to deeply engage with and understand the daily challenges faced by our customers.
